It was called Ed Skrein on his Game of Thrones exit: 'It wasn't a straightforward decision' - Game of Thrones News - Cult - Digital Spy
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Ed Skrein has said his decision to leave the show wasn\'t an easy one.
Skrein played Daario Naharis in season three, with Michiel Huisman taking over the role following his departure.
He told Digital Spy: "It wasn\'t as straightforward a decision as it\'s been made out in the press. In a lot of ways I would have loved to have carried on and stayed working on that, because it\'s a fantastic TV series."
The 32-year-old actor said he has respect for the talented cast and crew on
, and his family were a large factor in his decision to pursue other projects.
"I\'ve made a lifelong friend in Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm. But the most important thing in my life is my family, so each project is important but only to a point."
Currently building up a career in Hollywood with his upcoming roles in
, Skrein said he doesn\'t worry about making the wrong decision in leaving the show.
"I always roll with the way things are, so as soon as one decision happens you just realign and move on and make another decision. I never really look back, so if I do look back, I look back with such fondness and great memories of working with an incredible team."
Skrein also admitted he hasn\'t kept up with the show since he left, but is planning on binge-watching when the series concludes.
"When it\'s finished, I\'ll get the box set and I\'ll have a
month, and that\'ll be fantastic. That\'ll be really exciting."
